If there was ever an adjective to describe Nigel Meadows from this 2013 photo spread it would be dreamboat! Nigel hails from Manchester England and has the epitome RUFSKIN look, so his great body and charming British accent made for another memorable time in the California desert. As you can see below, this was one of our collections we created for our stores that were based in New York and Amsterdam at the time. We were, of course, channeling the western man and his attitudes but this story was also called Brotherhood and has the iconic photo of both Nigel and Logan Alan Swiecki Taylor sharing joint together.
LIFE
Going deep into the archives! AKA Vintage Friday.
What can we say about Charly? Charly was a huge inspiration to a pair of stretch denim jeans from the early years that went on to being one of our best sellers. CHARLY was a pair of jeans that rested low on the hips, didn’t have a waistband and hugged the ass like it was a second skin. Fresh from the marines, we were lucky to have him pose for RUFSKIN STUDIOS a number of times. As you can see, besides his handsome face, Charly had an incredible body that was a perfect fit for our brand.
Classic, enduring and homoerotic, these boys have all of that.  After seeing some of these men, one might think having daddy issues is a blessing, either way, we’ll enjoy the show.

What can we say about Shawn? A regular poser for RUFSKIN, Shawn has an incredible body and face that captured a complete essence of the RUFSKIN man. An American Italian, Shawn created a lot of memories from early on at our San Diego studio to the current temperature of the Rancho Mirage RUFHOUSE STUDIOS. Enjoy this voyage deep down our archival files.
Try reading this lovely write up about our new swimwear from a website based Quebec neighbors to the north, GAY VOYAGEUR. The Gay Voyageur is the most popular French LGBT tourist guide because of its articles and stunning…uh hum photos!!! plus their visitors are mainly men who travel several times a year all over the world so they are a great resource for your next wanderlust travel plans.
Jonathan Jesinsky is the epitome of the RUF MAN! We photographed Jonathan back in 2005 after his stint in Iraq with the army. From his tattoos to his incredible smile, Jonathan exuded simple ease and charm when we photographed him in our leather, denim, and underwear from that particular era of RUFSKIN.

We dug DEEEP into one of our external hard drives, you know the ones that were large and heavy? Well, blonds definitely have more fun while wearing RUFSKIN! Aubrey, our model from a number of years ago had the most amazingly beautiful legs. In addition, he had an incredibly charming personality. Aubrey wore our leather gear the best. Below are a few samples of leather, underwear and our infamous Tambo terry cloth pants from the time.
RUFHOUSE MAGAZINE ISSUE 04 VOL 01 // Early 2014 – “DAFT DUNK” This issue was a black and white photo essay of behind the scenes “tomfoolery” photographed on location at the RUFHOUSE, by RUFSKIN owners Douglas Coats and Hubert Pouches. A super hot series of images depicting some of our favorite RUFBOYS in everything from denim to leather. To name a few: Danny Cifonelli, “BIG” Sean, and the “people’s champ” Logan Swiecki-Taylor. Now Dig in… Full issue here.
FIN.
Tired of the plain old boring mannequins you may see in the window? Below are some plastic men that will surely turn some window shoppers’ heads as we dressed them up with bushy mustaches, black paint and a nod to punk and denim realness. These were created in celebration of our 10 year anniversary party that was held at RUFSKIN HQ in San Diego about 7 years ago. Which one is your favorite?
Back in November 2005, RUFSKIN participated in one a fashion show at the infamous nightclub, RICH’S where we were beginning to have annual events showcasing our latest gear we had to offer. It was always a memorable night and the show was not your standard runway experience because most of the time our guys just wanted to go out and show off their incredible bodies, not really being in front of so many people before. Basically, it sometimes ended up being like a striptease where the model would strut out onto the stage, shake their behinds and end up throwing half their outfit into the hungry and jaw-dropping audience members. That year we discovered some stellar men for our show and decided to make posters similar to the kind one would see pasted to the side of building sites in NYC in poses that were synonymous with each of their characteristics. From top to bottom we have Shawn, Mike, Josh, Josh, Jonathan, David, and Charlie.
